Hello Dear Friends of ROM,
As I stated in this "Infrequent Blog's" Title, I cannot thank each and every one of you enough that have joined us at ROM to sit back and listen, to those of you that come to perform that are the very backbone and reason for our very blessed success and keep on coming back as our most dedicated "ROMulins" !!! Our heartfelt thanks for those of your who have Featured at ROM in the Past, are Featuring for us in 2012 and that will Feature at ROM in our years to come! Thanks to all of you that has been any part of ROM in any form, from the very beginning through this most wonderful ROM-2012 schedule and into our Future. You are ALL so very needed and so SPECIAL!
Our most recent thanks to David Roth who on 2-27-12, had all of us at ROM on the edge of our seats with his most remarkable and unique Feature. MY thanks to all of you on behalf of David from his little cyber spot in Germany where he departed for right after his ROM Feature to record his newest CD. I also would like to thank David for taking the time to jot a note and add it to our Guest-book on our Homepage at: www.roslindaleopenmike.org. WE are trying to get as many folks to make any comments, constructuve thoughts and idea's as possible including our ROM-2012 Open Mike performers, Features as well as those that join us to be that special part of our Free ROM evenings of wonderful entertainment and networking.

2-7-12. May you be so very blessed your wonderful child as we all know he was born to 2 awesome parents!!!!
On this coming Monday 3-12-12 we are so honored to welcome Paul Rishell and Annie Raines as our incredible Feature performers. If you have never been to a Paul and Annie show and/or NOT heard their very special brand of music please do take a listen and be sure to join us at ROM this coming Monday to see, hear and meet them in person. It will be a show, NOT to miss!!! Their website is: www.paulandannie.com. I was honored to be introduced to Paul and Annie's music initially by our dear ROMulin Craig Sonnenfeld. He told me for so long how much I would love their music and then there was a show at Amazing Things in Framingham where Craig did an awesome job & opened for Paul and Annie. He was totally right about me loving their very unique styles of performing. (Thanks Craig!!!) Due to this wonderful introduction we have asked Craig Sonnenfeld to Open for Paul & Annie and I know some of you have already requested some of your own favorite Craig songs for him to do. We do want to thank Craig for his introduction of Paul and Annie as well as for agreeing to do an Opening set for them this Monday at ROM!!!

On Saturday 3-10-12 both dear ROMulin friends Junko Ogawa and Craig Sonnenfeld are featuring at Jitters Coffee House in Southington, Ct. Please see either of their websites listed to the right side of this Blog for more info.
On Sunday 3-11-12 at Chris Gerstner's "Fireside Coffeehouse" Leslie Lee & Steve Gretz will Feature at this unique venue open to duo's and trio's in Norwood, Ma. It is a lovely if you have yet to have been there. Contact Chris for sign up and and questions regarding this wonderful Venue.
On Tuesday 3-13-12, Ellen Schmidt continues with her fantastic Nourish Restaurant Series in Lexington, Ma. Ellen's website is also listed to the right for ALL info on ALL her upcoming venues.
We are so graced with so much plentiful and most wonderful Local Live Music in our little slice of the world.

We will be beginning our:
ROSLINDALE OPEN MIKE CONCERT SERIES.
This series is being established to Benefit our Home of ROM,
THE ROSLINDALE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
This very wonderful and historic building that we call home is in need of Funds to continue to serve all the local and Global programs it has done in the past and will continue to offer and expand upon into the future with the help & benefit of what we are planning to be a Series of Benefit Concerts!
Our very first show will be on Sunday Eve April 1, 2012 7-9 at:

Our Goal for these shows are to raise the Money for our
"Home of ROM" and so many other very special Program's
The Roslindale Congregational Church.
We are asking for an as able, Donation for this Concert and will be making available beverages and snacks for $1.00 for both combined.

Neil- I will see you Mon. Paul Rishell and Annie Raines are a couple of my favorite performers. Bear and I last saw them at Johnny D's but prior to that at a John Hammond concert at old House of Blues where John had Annie come up and join him for a couple songs- what a show!
